Students are required to be CPR/BLS Certified by an approved vendor prior to starting Clinical Observation. This certification is not included in the program cost.

No. Pathway Dental Academy’s core program provides foundational dental assistant training and career readiness support. California RDA requirements are separate and may require additional education, examinations, and approvals.
The theory portion of the program is completed online, allowing students to learn from home while maintaining flexibility around work, family, and other responsibilities.
No. This program is designed for individuals with little or no prior dental experience who are interested in learning the fundamentals of dental assisting.
Clinical observation allows students to experience the dental office environment, observe patient interactions, and gain insight into the daily responsibilities of a dental assistant.
PDA is actively exploring additional California-specific training opportunities. Program offerings may expand as approvals and partnerships develop.
Not unless specifically stated. California radiography requirements are separate and may require additional approved training.
No. Employment is not guaranteed. However, the program is designed to help students build foundational knowledge and professional skills that may support entry-level opportunities in the dental field.
Students who request changes to their assigned Externship Readiness Window may be subject to applicable rescheduling fees and program policies. Details are provided during enrollment.
